WILC/PILS are consumer controlled nonresidential centers for independent living, which provides information and advocacy to persons with disabilities. In addition, WILC/PILS operates a Regional Resources Development Services Program (seven counties). The goal of this Program is to develop home and community-based services and supports needed by individuals and family members who experience a disability.
POSITION: Regional Resources Development Assistant (RRDA)
HOURS: Full time, 35 hours per week, with benefits
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, track and monitor Serious Reportable Incidents and Recordable Incidents for the LHV
- Tracking documentation in the DOH and Agency database i.e. service plans, team meetings, trainings, outreach, phone contacts;
- Communicate with applicants and providers when documentation is late or needed
- Maintain files on all waiver participants;
- Provides information and referral to services available to individuals with disabilities in the lower Hudson Valley;
- Assist with preparation and submission of all reports/surveys and tracking forms;
- Assist in arranging and providing confirmation of completion for required trainings/workshops for Hudson Valley TBI providers and community;
- Assist/Conduct eligibility screenings to individuals seeking wavier services in the region as needed
- Attend required meetings and conferences for DOH waiver and;
- Conduct any other duty as assigned by Lead RRDS/SR RRDS that will promote and enhance the development of the waiver in the Hudson Valley Region;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated abilities in written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use word processing computer programs
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance coverage
- Experience working with people with disabilities a plus.
